Can I bring a family member or friend to my scheduled appointment?
It's fine to have a guest sit in on your appointment, as long as they are just listening in and not seeking medical or nutritional advice for themselves. In a traditional in-person practice, is is not uncommon for a family member/spouse, etc. to be present for the visit.
It's important to note that one of the perks of Form's care model is that we provide personalized treatment, so topics discussed in the visit may not apply to your guest. Your guest should only take advice from their personal medical clinician or registered dietitian.
Your clinician may request to meet with you individually at a visit or that the guest leave if it is potentially impacting your care. Your clinician carefully reviews your medical history and may need to ask potentially sensitive or personal questions that you would not want to share with another person present, so please keep that in mind.
